| Transcendent Wings You would not want the stars to fade away To sprinkle not again the velvet sky Nor wish the sun not greet each dawning day To radiate its brilliance from on high. You would not want the tears to always flow From heaviness of heart from missing you Unable to enjoy the wondrous show Of life unfolding endlessly anew. Your wish would be that I would carry on To somehow find the wings to rise above The pressing clouds of gray since you've been gone And revel in your legacy of love. To you no greater honor can I give Than on transcendent wings again to live. Copyright 5/15/00 Denise Corbley Snyder |
