| I'll Be Along I'm lost in thought, again, I see Another memory calling me I gently slip into the past ...I'll be right back, I'll be real fast. I linger there...perhaps too long But can't you hear that lovely song? How can I leave before it's done? That soothing strain has just begun. What's that you say...it's time to go? There's work to do...of course...I know; You go ahead...I'll be along; I need to hear just one more song. Another lovely melody Another memory calling me. Copyright 12/98, Denise Corbley Snyder |
| The Splendid Escapade She pauses as she passes there by that faded photograph; She cannot help but stop and stare Recalling just how grand it was to laugh. She slips inside that silent scene back when all seemed bright and fair And settles in, her soul serene Contented - not a thing can harm her there. And as the past proceeds to fade for the present screams her name She leaves her splendid escapade While glancing back - upon that faded frame. Copyright 3/99, Denise Corbley Snyder |
