To My Valentine
You glanced my way one day and stole my heart Without intending to ignite a flame You set my world ablaze right from the start And since that day my life's not been the same. You fit me like a finely crafted glove Italian leather's supple quality Provides to me warm comfort in a love That holds me close yet sets my spirt free. A life preserver you had been that day In raging waters where I nearly drowned You pulled me in and carried me away And set these feet upon the shore's firm ground.
Forever and a day we'll sing love's song Within each other's arms where we belong.
