Dibbler Patch
Version 1.0, 18 February 2004
This patch adds the item "sausage-inna-bun" to NetHack.
This also converts a room in the Tourist Locate level to a delicatessen, manned by Mr. Dibbler.
Text of the patch
The patch is relative to NetHack 3.4.3.
This patch will break bones/save file compatibility, due to the added object.
The important bits of code are marked with #ifdef DIBBLER (or in one case, #ifdef TOURIST).
Details
Sausages-inna-bun have 80 nutrition, weigh 5 units, and are eaten in one turn.
The generation probability is 5 (0.5%), at the expense of tripe rations.
Sausages-inna-bun are created with 60% cursed, 30% uncursed and 10% blessed.
Eating a sausage-inna-bun abuses wisdom, and can also have one of the following effects:
- Food poisoning (as from a tainted corpse)
- Nausea (as from a rotten egg)
- Gain 1 XP (as from tripe rations)
- Gain poison resistance
Dibbler's shop will contain, apart from the usual food, four sausages-inna-bun and an ice-box containing four rat corpses.
