Wednesday -(1) glue Rights and Responsibilities paper on to first page of tablet; (2) In tablet, name 5 types of resources / draw, color, and label an example from the book for each;(3) read Read for Real in class. "Read for Real" will need to be done at school. If absent, please see Mrs. Henderson to schedule a time that you can read / practice this material. Thursday - Checked for 5 types of resources with pictures and labels. Continued "Read for Real", non-fiction reading strategies. Friday - In-school religion field trip -- no afternoon classes. |

| Sept. 22-26 Monday - Parts of a Microscope assessment; Checked drawings in tablet of the "e" ASSIGNMENT: CHAPTER 1 VOCABULARY, PAGE 28, FIRST 7 WORDS, DEFINITIONS WRITTEN IN TABLET. DEFINITIONS ARE TO BE FOUND IN THE GLOSSARY OF SCIENCE TEXTBOOK Tuesday - Chapter 1 vocabulary (16 words) due Friday in neatly written in tablet. Wednesday - Bring art smock to school ; Read in textbook 32-35; wrote notes in tablet; used Main Idea and Supporting Detail strategy to record information. Thursday - video to prep for tomorrow's lab. Discussed p 34 and 35 in textbook. Explained and reviewed parts of plant and animal cells. How alike and how different Onion skin cell lab tomorrow. MUST HAVE ART SHIRT. Friday - Onion skin lab went well - we had some very exciting discoveries. We will talk about everything on Monday. We were very busy and did not have time to check the vocabulary words. So...bring them Monday. |
| Unit 4- New directions - pretests will be returned on Wednesday - (then write words missed on pretest 3 times each. Any other word you have trouble spelling and were just lucky to spell it correctly on the pretest...for your own benefit....write it 3 time. Words are due Friday along with the pretest. If you do not have the pretest or have lost it, all 20 words are to be written 3 times each. No exceptions. Begin completing Unit 4 workbook pages. (Due Tuesday) TEST TUESDAY |
