The donegal celtic ladies team produced a fine performance to overcome their downpatrick opponents with a 13-2 thriller at the Downshire pitches.  The team - without a number of regulars - worked hard and goals came from Lesley Beattie, Nuala Rafferty (3), Rachel McCaffrey, Karen Kilifan, Aideen Shannon, Mary Shepard (2) and a hat-trick for the impressive Lauren Moore (pictured left)

Donegal Celtic Ladies will travel to downpatrick this sunday for their first pre-season gameof the new league campaign against Downpatrick Ladies FC.  The game will be played at downshire pitches and has a 3pm KO. All players must be at the DC for 1pm on sunday, no later as there will be a brief meeting for the team and then on to the match.

    01/11/03                          Raiders Win Penunisula Cup                                  Posted By:    
Donegal Celtic drew the current holders in the semi final of the Penunsinual cup and the Raiders were out to get revenge on DC.  Raiders came out as winners after a hard fought 2-0 win although the scoreline was alot tighter than the scoreline showed, with both teams playing some excellent football.  Radiers then went on to defeat Ballymen 3-0 in the final and come out winners for a thirs consecutive season,

Donegal Celtic have already made a number of pre-season signings.  The hoops snapped up former DC fvourite Karen'chink' Kilifan along with former Glenavon player Sinead McKeever and GAA star Gemma Fitzpatrick.  The senior squad also welcome onboard last years junior star Joanne Mccann (pictured left) who will be hoping to shine this season.

Donegal Celtic Youth Dev Officer, Mal Donaghy, has organised a 'Mini Soccer Centre' which will take place at Donegal Celtic, Suffolk Road every tuesday in October from 4.30-5.30 for BOYS AND GIRLS aged

Donegal celtic Ladies pre-season training starts this sunday (5th Oct) in falls park from 2-4pm.  All new players are welcome and all old players are asked to turn up, as we will be competing in a tournament in a few weeks.
10/09/03                         DC -v- Newington (last game of season)                    Posted By:    
Newington travelled to Donegal Celtic for the re-arranged league game on wed nite.  Both teams where missing some experienced players due to international duty but as the game wouldnt change the league standings it was played.  It ended in a 1-1 draw with both teams displaying some excellent football and 2 great goals.  Young star Sarah Corr (pictured left) was player of the match with yet another fine performance.

DC ladies were crowned the Belfast CHAMPIONS last nite after a terrific penalty shoot out over northland raiders (again).  This is the second time the two sides have meet in the premier and divisional cup and dc have come out on tops both times on penalties.  Mary Shepard scored the all important goal and it was a fantasticv perfoemance from the girls.  Well done

DC ladies pulled off a fantastic display of football tonite as they beat Kilmore 4-2 to progress onto the cup final.  Lauren Moore was the hero for DC as she scored all four goals but nothing could take the smile away from the players as they heaqrd the final whistel. A great team performace and now a final to llok forward to.  Well done girls and good luck !!!

Donegal Celtic will travel to Crossgar tonighe to take on a fancied Kilmore side in the semi final of the divisional cup.  The hoops will be without several key players and will be looking to their junior stars (inc Rachel Mccaffrey - pic. left) to step up a level and get them into the final.  Good luck girls

The league game between Kilmore rec and DC( due to be played on 1st Aug)  has been cancelled due to a double booking on the Kilmore Pitch.. The fixture will hopefully be rescheduled for a further date otherwise DC will get the points.   The semi final between the two clubs will definaltey go ahgead next week.

   25/07/03                      Result: DC (1) -v- N.Raiders (5)                                 Posted By:    
Donegal Celtic Ladies were defeated by league leaders N.raiders at their home pitch tonight!!  Raiders took the lead but DC soon equalised through a well-taken goal from Wendy mcGrath.  The second half saw the Raiders side show their ability and why they are top of the league (and unbeaten) when they stepped up a gear and drilled home four goals to leave the score at 1-5.

Donegal Celtic Ladies will be in action again next week when they entertain unbeaten league leaders Northland raiders at the DC.  The girls will be hoping for a repeat match of last time when DC knocked Raiders out of fhe premier cup with a fantastic night of football at the DC.  Watch this space for the result.

Donegal Celtic got back to winning ways this week when they secured an impressive 8-1 league win over Abbey Utd at the Valley Leisure centre.  Unfortunately for the Hoops they had young star Aideen Shannon (pictured left) sent off... maybe ruling her outof the teams semi final against Kilmore Rec

Donegal Celtic Ladies dropped to a disappointing 2-0 defeat at the hands of N.Panthers on wednesday night.  The girls were hoping to secure the points but were beaten by a much improved side.    Next match is away to Abbey Utd and the girls will be hoping they can get a much needed 3 points.

Donegal Celtic's Nuala Rafferty recieved a four match ban after she was dismissed during the clubs Premier Cup match against Omagh Cossacks.  The player is disappointed with the decision and may now face missing the  teams semi final in a few weeks.

Donegal Celtic Ladies were knocked out the premier cup by a strong Omagh side on thursday night.  The girls suffered a 2-0 defeat and their exit was dampened even more when they had Centre Forward Nuala Rafferty sent off.  DC would like to wish Omagh the best of luck in the quarter finals.
