Douglas County dropped it's home opener in dramatic fashion, losing 3-1 to North Cobb in the second overtime.

The first half went scoreless, with little pressure on the Tiger defense and multiple chances on the offensive end. Tied 1-1 at halftime, the teams went to 2-10 minute overtime periods. The defensive battle resumed until North Cobb took the lead with 4 minutes left in the second overtime, and then added another a minute later.

"There was just too much pressure on our defense tonight, we have to step up and help out more," noted tiger midfielder Al Cruickshank. "When you are on your heels all game, the defense gets worn out, and that's what happened tonight".

In Friday's game against Mceachern, DC held the 8th ranked Indians scoreless until the second OT period, once again falling in the closing minutes, 2-0. "When you play strong teams like McEachern, you have to make something out of your scoring chances, and we didn't," said striker Zack Rozier. "Our defense is playing good, it's just a matter of getting more people forward on the offensive side."
