She's one classmate of mine I had close encounter and relationship with, the reason that her maiden family name is Arenas and I Beltran that every time seating arrangement was done alphabetically and of course roll calling we were always seatmates, group mates, teammates. Along with us in the group were Jocelyn Agustin, Doris Alvendia, Belinda Aquino and next to me was always Veneranda Bernal.

     Having launch with her upon her invitation one Saturday at the a restaurant and disco, the latest addition to the Chuson - family owned business establishments, where sisig , calamares and chopsuey is done and served best at very reasonable price,(I urge everyone to go and try this place, beside her clinic in Calasiao) I have come to know that our dear, beloved, religious classmate made a decision to enter the convent and be a nun after finishing medical school. But stupid cupid worked faster than expected, intervened and in one baptismal occasion where she was one of the sponsors, she was paired with a dashing and debonair businessman and politician, Narciso Chuson Jr., and a whirlwind courtship ended in a marriage blessed by the angels in heaven. Matchmaker cupid must be grinning when Alexis had to forego her plan to go to nunnery. The match must be perfect for I observed that Alexis and her hubby look like newly - weds when they smile to and greet each other, to this day after long 12 years.

     Alexis Mary Braganza Arenas Chuson as a professional has a long list of titles attached to her name and having a chance to have a glimpse of her bio-data, her medical board exam rating of 82.85 % was relatively high; her list of accomplishment, 

recognition and award, in- service training, post graduate courses, other trainings and conventions attended are as endless as her list of her daily managing and supervising chores in her O. B. Gyne clinic, at her residence, as a mother to three active kids and as a wife to her businessman husband. She claims that even she’s busy with her chosen career she still prioritizes what’s best for her family. She takes her kids to Mother Goose School and she ensures time for family’s social life by taking them out whenever she can.

     She discloses that among all her achievements, she considers her passing of the diplomat certifying examinations given by the Philippine Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Part I (written) July 21,1996 in Manila and Part II (orals) September 1998 in Manila as one of the title: Diplomat-Fellow, Philippine Obstetrics and Gynecological Society, Inc.

     A devotee of St. Claire, Alexis who almost became a nun finds delight in sharing her gifts and blessing to anyone who came to her. Her talent, skills and expertise as a doctor makes her a real, natural social worker who has a heart for everyone in need of relief from pain and distress. She is warm, friendly and humane, no wonder patients swarm like bees in her clinic, a place where you can find a doctor who smiles and who truly cares.
