Sasha, a Border Collie Mix, is the puppy.Well, she WAS the puppy... but she's settling into adulthood. Finally! Sasha is quite the spaz, and delights in harassing her long-suffering big brother Nikolai, a GSD mix. Sasha came to us after being dumped in a bad part of town. One of our neighbors found her and rescued her. Shortly therafter, Andy decided that the house needed another dog. And one with sharp puppy teeth at that! She was covered in ticks, and weighed in at a grand 7.2 lbs. Nik has been with us for several years now. He was adopted from Animal Haven, a no-kill shelter in Merriam, KS. He'd waited over 6 months to find his forever family - us! And he's the big boss around here. We don't know exactly how old he is, but he's around 11 years old now. He gets grumpy, but all you have to do is pick up a leash and he's a massive bundle of energy. He's also starting to show some signs of arthritis, so he (and my mom) take Glucosamine. I think it helps. Sassy has her own page, detailing how this adorable, loving, and simply gorgeous lab/setter mix was abandoned by her former family. And came to live with us.

And these two... Ion and Ginger look awfully innocent here. They really aren't. She's the whiniest cat ever; he's just a big lug that loves attention. They were adopted from the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City as 5-month old kittens.

Sasha at 10 months = constant motion. She's also filled out and grown a long, beautiful rough coat - so much the better for romping through snow!
