Este é ainda um dos singles mais populares das Destiny's Child. Ficou durante várias semanas consecutivas no topo das paradas americanas e o video-clip sempre estava no topo do MTV TRL (equivante ao Disk MTV). No Brasil, elas ainda não eram muito
conhecidas, por causa disso, este single não foi muito divulgado por aqui na época. Ele ficou mais conhecido depois do lançamento de "The Writing's On The Wall" no Brasil - este foi o terceiro single do álbum.

"Say My Name" fala sobre um namorado que não dá mais atenção para sua namorada. Então é melhor ele dizer o nome dela.

Os remixes são bem legais. O do Maurice Joshua tem tendências disco, como o próprio nome diz: "Maurice's Last Days Of Disco Millennium Mix". O remix do Timbaland é meio sem graça, paradinho, mas interessante. A versão do Mr. Nitro é muito boa, meio hip-hop, também há um outro remix do Maurice (Maurice's Bass 2000) que é mais interessante, com batidas techno, o remix da Dreem Teen é meio enjoativo, mas não é ruim.
