Piggy (ID #A022954) is a young guinea pig available for adoption from the Animal Welfare League of Arlington. To see photos of all the small animals at this shelter, click here. Jimmy is one of eight guinea pigs available for adoption from the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria. For information about adopting from the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, please call 703-838-4774 ext. 222. Adopters should live within 45 miles of the shelter.

Bronty and Crunch are available for adoption together from the Montgomery County Humane Society. They are active guinea pigs who are responsive to human voices and love eating, especially basil and lettuce. Several other guinea pigs are also available from the Montgomery County Humane Society, which operates two shelters in Rockville and has a network of foster homes. The main shelter can be reached at 240-773-5960. The MCHS web site has two separate pages on which adoptable guinea pigs can usually be seen: "Foster Animals" and "Rescue Animals". Most guinea pigs are sent to foster homes or MCHS's rescue facility quickly, but currently there are also many guinea pigs can also be seen on a third page for shelter animals.

Babs and Cecelia are a pair of bonded female guinea pigs available for adoption from Metropolitan Guinea Pig Rescue, which is based in Northern Virginia and adopts guinea pigs out to people living in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland. Over 20 other guinea pigs are also available.

Little Pete (ID #A072768) is one of two male guinea pigs available for adoption from the Loudoun County Animal Shelter. To see photos of all the small animals at this shelter, click here. Nate and Shay are available for adoption together from Small Angels Animal Rescue, which is based in Frederick, MD. Many other guinea pigs are also available from Small Angels, along with small animals of various other species.
