Ken Las Vegas (president of Lucky Dog Productions) has been performing as a drag king for over 6 years. He is the producer and promoter of DC's own Drag King show at Club Chaos which shows every first Wednesday of the month.
During the GPAC conference last spring, Ken--along with his company Lucky Dog Productions--produced the largest drag king show that DC has ever seen (May 19th). The show drew 19 king acts from Columbus, Ohio; NYC; Santa Barbara, CA; Winnipeg, Canada; Toronto, Canada; and, of course, DC.
Ken Las Vegas has produced with Carlos Las Vegas "Kingdom"--the very first
international drag king magazine of its kind--to help spread the word of king all over the world. (Check out www.geocities/kingdomidkm for more info.)
Ken Las Vegas also produced with Johnny Kat the magazine "King," which covered the Second International Drag King Conference in Columbus, Ohio.
King Ken's mission is to increase the visibility of drag kings in mainstream
culture, and to highlight the incredible talents of drag kings from all over
the world.
