Important Info From Our Registrar!!

When you are given new girls from your school organizers, please register them in a timely
manner. If you don't register them, let your organizer know why.
I know paperwork isn't the most fun, but it is necessary sooo
When registering new girls or adults, please give me a dues summary with the registration(s)
AND fill out the dues summary completely. (even when you send them in the mail.) It is also a
good idea to put your troop number at the top. I will fill out all of the other boxes.
When giving me the registration forms, you can keep the pink copy because it should have
each girl's medical history on it. If you don't remember to keep it, I will return it to you at the
meetings.
Please use paper clips instead of staples to attach checks to registrations.
Be sure and give each new girl (not daisies) a Great Guide. I have them at my house and will
have them at the meetings.
If you ever have registration questions, please call or email me.

Room For More?
Your School Organizer may still have some girls looking for troops. If you have found that
some of your troop members are not returning and you would like more girls, please contact
your School Organizer listed below. If a parent asks you if their daughter can be in your
troop, also have them call your School Organizer. We may have other girls already on the
waiting list who should be offered a spot in your troop first.
Thanks for your help! Sandy

Mentor/Leader Program

attendance and location. The next orientations are scheduled for:

Contact Jackie or Lisa if you have questions.

Got Girl Scout Cookies?

When you are organizing your parent help for the year, one of the positions your troop will
need is a Cookie "Mom" or "Dad". It is very important that you choose someone that you
feel comfortable with and is a good communicator. Your cookie manager will be working
with your girls to sell cookies, doing paperwork, possibly brokering cookies, arranging for
booth sales, handling money, and helping to decide girl awards. Good communication
skills, an overall sense of responsibility, and flexibility are essential when you are choosing
this person. It is important to have someone that will work with you and your girls during
booth sales, and when girl awards are designated at the end of the sale, so that you will feel
comfortable and happy about the outcome of the sales efforts. Your Cookie Manager must
register as a Girl Scout.

Neighborhood cookie training will be Wednesday, Nov. 28. This meeting is required for
all Troop Cookie Managers.
Come and find out about our 2 new cookies! Times and
directions available at next month's leader meeting.

Call For Help!
There are a group of 3 Cadette Girl Scouts in the Lego Robotics tournament. A team-mate
has dropped out. In order to continue as a team, they need one more girl - aged 9 - 14 who
wishes to work on the project. The team meets in Cedar Mill one time per week, until
December 1st. Their mentors are a husband/wife team -- a lawyer and Intel engineer.. the
girls meet at their home. If you know of any science loving girls interested in this neat
opportunity, please pass this on. If there are several girls, additional teams can be formed.
If you -- or anyone has any questions, please contact Ruthe at [email protected]

Beaverton & Beyond: Building a Better World
That's the theme of our Neighborhood Service Program. By completing age level hours of
service, girls earn a great patch only available in Beaverton! If you don't have the Service
Resource Guides or the Service Log Books, they are downloadable from the Neighborhood
Yahoo Group. They are also available for just the price of the photocopying. Contact Liz
if you have any questions.
