At the Feb., 21 Leader meeting we discussed open sales etiquette, money handling and how to get more cookies over the next two weeks. Please refer to the photocopied handout steps 5-11. This is extremely valuable information. |

A few etiquette rules: |
|
Only ask customers if they would like to buy GS Cookies WHEN THE CUSTOMER IS EXITING THE STORE. The stores do not like it when their customers feel overwhelmed to buy GS cookies (being asked coming and going). |
|
|
|
DO NOT BLOCK THE ENTRANCE TO THE STORE. Customers must be able to freely go about their business and not feel like they need to "work" their way past the GS troop. |
|
|
|
NO TABLES OR SIBLINGS at open sale locations. No exceptions to this rule! |
|
Each GS selling cookies MUST have a signed permission slip for EACH open sale she attends. |
|
|
|
Always take your Final Confirmation of Open Sale Locations with you to each open sale. (You should have received this Final Confirmation when your troop picked up their cookies). |
|
|
|
DO NOT APPROACH STORES FOR CHANGE. Make sure you bring enough change with you to the sale. |
|
|
|
DO NOT ALLOW GS TO RUN AROUND the location. GS are to be supervised at all times and must maintain the most proper of business etiquette during sales. |
|
|
|
Take all of your garbage and empty boxes with you after sales. ***GS always leave a place better than they found it.*** |
|
|
|
When possible, have GS where their uniforms (at least their pins). The girls must make it visible that they are GS when selling cookies (they can wear their pin or vest/sash on or over their coat). |
|
|
|
Most important of all...HAVE FUN AND SELL, SELL, SELL!!! |
