Turn your PalmPilot into a Web site
Convert your MemoPad to HTML with Memo2Web 32-bit version 1.1e
Convert your Address Book to HTML with AddBook2Web 32-bit version 1.1a
by Doug Case
There are several cool programs that let you get Web information into your Pilot.
Now you can get Web documents out of your Pilot.
Features:
- These programs automatically convert your Memos and Addresses to linked HTML documents that work like your Pilot.
- Select which categories to Include/Exclude
- HTML tags can be entered in your Pilot memos for special formatting, embedding graphics or creating links. You can
create Graffiti shortcuts to make this easier.
- Put "/AUTO" on the command line to run without intervention - perfect for batch files or scheduled updates of your web site. It uses the settings saved the last time you ran the program normally.
- Options to allow you to customize the output: Advanced mode lets you put your own HTML code at the top and bottom of the page, and lets you choose how spaces will be converted.
- For an example of how you can format the output, Download This to format your output like a Notebook.
- Check out this example page.
- Here is a 16-bit version. It has fewer features than the 32-bit version, but it works.
- New! Memo2Web will convert your attached Memo PLUS drawings, like this:
Notes:
- Memo2Web assumes that the Memo PLUS drawing database is in its default location, which is in the backup directory in the same tree as your memopad.dat file.
- I'll release the Delphi VCL controls I made to read the Pilot files when I get around to documenting them.
- I converted the MemoPad control to ActiveX (OLE Automation Server). It can be called from Active Server Page scripts, etc. I'll release it when I get around to documenting it, and testing it some more. Send some e-mail if you want to try the un-polished version.
Other Pilot Programs:
- New! DeskPilot v0.9. A small Windows program for quickly viewing your PalmPilot data.
Disclaimer:
- These programs were written for my own amusement. I have run them on Windows95, NT 3.51 and 4.0. They have not done any damage to me or my computer, but I can't promise anything beyond that. Several other people have used them without incident, but I'm sure they won't promise anything either.
