| The tall guy with the hair is Ruth's dad, Johnny Falconnier. He's about 16, and since he was born in 1928 this picture was probably taken in 1944. The guy holding the baby is George, Johnies brother in law. His sister Nani is on his left, and his mom is on his right. |

| Ruth's dad told me that when he was growing up in France he sometimes had to wear wooden shoes. I had a hard time picturing that until I saw this picture. We thought the tall boy in the back row might have been a relation to Ruth's dad, but he said he didn't think so. However, he did have the teachers. |
