Joe's Law

I don't make promises,
I don't grant wishes,
I don't make dreams come true,
But I will listen,
And I will be a helpful friend.

When Does Love Begin?

Is it rooted in a kiss?
Or does it come in a whisper?
Is it in that first slow dance?
Or does it float from above?
Is it given life through a sentence?
Or does it find itself in common thoughts?
Is it in the warmth we get from another?
Or does it breathe upon you like a summer breeze?
Is it in the presence of those who care?
Or does it make itself understood in the hearts of many?
Is it in the absence of hate?
Or maybe love is always there,
And maybe we just need to see it.
Love is all we want to see in another,
Be that person.

Prayer for Whom I Care

Don’t forget my angel
Don’t forget her needs
And don’t forget her meaning to me
Not often do I see beauty in them
But this angel is special
Keep my angel in your heart

I told you this was hell.

Why can’t you see my problem?
Why must you be so tense?
Where is the end of your nonsense?
Look at what you are drowning in.
You’re not alone in hell;
We all see the same hell;
We all live it differently,
But hell is hell to you as it is to me.
So why do you drown in it?
It is not your captor.
You accelerate your own demise,
You don’t change for a damn,
And the way you run is to the damned.
Look at me; I’m not hope,
But look at me; I’m not hell,
I look at you; you’re not hell.
The damned have died at the sight of you;
You still have a chance.
They can’t make the choice again.
Don’t crawl; raise your eyes.
I’m not an angel; I have great empathy.
Problems come and they may go,
Memories come and they will stay.
Don’t lose you where you go.
I’ll be there for you; you need no more hell.
Relax in life; it’s not a race.
Enjoy your time with friends,
Laugh a lot if for no one else for you,
And never lose your smile for anything.

Little Star

There was a fire in your house,
You’re always sweet and everything like that.
Came running from all over town for you little star.
You want everyone to like to know.
One must look out for you little star.
Someone’s the con and it’s out to see,
Compassion rides a wing with you,
Happiness loves your empathy.
One must look out for you little star.
Self-life reigns nowhere to you.
Do you really love you little star.
There’s so much I’d like to show.
There’s so much you need to know.
I can’t keep running after you little star.

Special

I didn’t live for no one to care.
I don’t wanna feel like a nut case.
If you don’t wanna talk, that alright,
But as you see I’m looking at you,
And I could spend the night,
And listen to you breath.
I find the glisten in your eyes,
But not for me tonight,
Cause I’m alone,
And not because of you.
Cause I’m a loner,
And I’m falling apart at your door.
The world changes,
And you stay all right with me,
And I’m not living for you,
But you’re a light in my day.
I don’t know how long I could stay,
But you’re something to me,
And I want you to know,
That you’re someone.
You’re someone special to me.
I don’t know how you are.
But you’re something here to me,
And I hope I’m something to you.
But if you don’t wanna talk,
That's alright with me.

What’s up with that?
You’re hurting me
I used to, but now its only you
You made me cry
Sour days have passed
What’s up with that?
It could have been perfect
But there were you
And it’s not all right
And I’m not all right
You just don’t know
I’d run miles to see you
It’s sad I get my hopes up
And sad that you crush them
