He is one of the original characters of the series. He was too shy to speak
to a woman, so he wanted to obtain a girlfriend through the Sheng Lung instead.
It was love at first site between him and Bulma. The two of them became a couple
for many years. However, Bulma ended up with Vegeta instead.
Although he was a formidable competitor in the first Budokai, Like Kuririn, his
importance was overshadowed by a Super Saiyajin dominated environment throughout
Dragon Ball Z.
