| Akira Toriyama was born in Aichi (city southwest of Tokyo) on April 5, 1955. He started creating his first manga called Dr. Slump sometime in the 1970's. Later in 1981 his success on the manga grew to the Fuji T.V. Network! He then started creating his best work ever, The Dragonball Series sometime in the 1980's. Soon he had the series crawling of 500 episodes in Hong Kong, Japan and in many many other languages!
