Final Fantasy VII Review
Final Fantasy VII flies onto the PSX rather than the N64, suckers, which was what was originally expected of Square's forthcoming RPG hit. Never the less the PSX first must own RPG is .............. .ah........... a must own tittle.

Graphics
When this game stunned the gaming world and made PSX gamers glad they didn't buy a Saturn back in 1997, it had the best graphics of any RPG to date. And still today it's considered to be an outstanding product of what the grey box can push out. As soon as you begin play the game greets you with amazing, scoping pre-rendered scenes that are always a treat to look at. Then once your character enters a battle, the picture turns to a highly-detailed 3-D battle scene with your characters on one side and the enemy on the other. In battle the background is more high res than FFVIII, but 7 still has the horrible looking world map.

Gameplay
Final Fantasy would be no where today if it wasn't for it's fantastic gameplay that kept RPG fans, Hardcore gamers and casual gamers coming back for more. The game features a more Japanese, Metal Gear, type control, with the X button being Cancel and the O button acting as a Accept button. Apart from that this is just about the same gameas 8 with carton/anime graphics.

Overall
One of the first RPG's on Playstation but still one of the best. And now that it's platnium there is no reason not to own this fantastic tittle. Well done Square on another masterpiece.
