Tsurfusian: This is the race that lived on planet Vegeta as the Saiyians. However the Saiyans killed all the Tsurfusian. But the Saiyians took & copy many of their technology like the scouters.
Saiyans: The Saiyans are the most common race in Dragonball Z (aside from Humans). The Saiyans are the ultimate warrior race originating from the planet Vegeta. Saiyans by birth bear monkey tails and are able to transform into Were-Apes by looking at the full moon. This transformation is charactersized by turning into a huge ape and usually destroying everything in sight. All Saiyans are able to control there ki into power of light and strength. When reaching incredible power level, sometimes in combination with anger, they can transform into a Super Saiyan. SSJ's are characterized by golden hair, green eyes, and violent warriors. Saiyans also have the ability to fuse with others of the same race, creating a dual and more powerful being (fusions require a dance). Saiyans literally means "Vegetable People," saiya meaning vegetable and jin meaning people. Therefore all full-blooded Saiyans are named after vegetables. This race was once quite populated, until tyrant Frieza blew up their planet. Only those who were away at the time and their children are the remaining Saiyans. Half Saiyans are more powerful than pure-bloods because of the mix with a different species (mostly humans). Kanassans:
Home to fish-like creatures with telepathic abilites inhabited it. The Kanassan Tooro gave Bardock the ability to see into the future.
Humans: Humans play various roles. Some fight, some deal with technology ... the others are basically
there to run in fear from the bad guys or just comedy relief. Humans also have the potential to control ki, but it takes much more practice than other aliens, since it is not natural for them.
Animals: Animals on Earth that are cute little guys that talk and interact in the story as humanoids who interact with the people they co-exist with. They can be seen as talking pets, pedestrains, cops, the president and just about anything else. It's like watching Funhouse on Comedy Central. Androids: All the androids in the series are manufactor by the Red Ribbon Army, and are built by Doctor Gero, the sinster scientist.
The early androids are fairly weak and the later android became more powerful with there unlimited power.
Namekians: Namek is the name of the people, and the planet from which they come from. Their physical attributes include green and pink skin,two antennae protruding from their foreheads, and fairly tall height. Nameks are asexual, meaning there are no genders, and they reproduce from an elder who holds the eggs within them. Nameks are generally peace-loving, kind people, who have a great sense of pride in
their people and heritage. Nameks do not eat food, only drink water. They are also able to regenerate limbs that have been torn off, can extend & expand body parts, fuse with one other and some possess the ability to create magic spheres (a.k.a. Dragonballs). There
are two different types of Nameks, there are fighters and healers. Nameks were mostly shown in the Frieza Saga. Changelings: Strong lizard like creatures that can change forms to become stronger than their current form.
Konatsan: The Konatsan's are beings with redish mohawks, pointy ears (like Nameks), and green eyes.
Shiamon: The Shiamons are small weak beings with short mohawks. Brolly used them as slaves to build cities on Planet New Vegeta. Gohan became friends with Shiamo (he was named after his planet). The Shiamons watched Brolly destroyed their planet with one blast from New Vegeta.
Majin: Majins are magical beings with vast mystical powers.
Warriors of Hades: Fighters who did good in their life and died, get special permission from King Yemma to keep their body. These warriors go to Dai Kaio planet to train and become even stronger warriors. Also, there are some beings that just lived in Hades.
Kaios: They're 5 Kaio's for each part of the universe. Just like the Kaioshin, there is a Dai Kaio and 4 lesser Kaio's under him. The Kaio's have very little power themselves, but can train a warrior to be very powerful. Usually their short and fat with sunglasses and wiskers.
Oni:
The Oni are Ogre-like species that lives in the after-life. Each Oni has one or two horns on their heads and their skin color are all different. They do things such as watch over Hell, check the souls to make sure if they have been purified, transport souls to the airport so they can get to Heaven and King Yemma judges them to Heaven or Hell.
