How to Play
Back to Main
The game is played by sending me what you want to do once a week. You have SIX days a week to train, learn new moves and more. On the 7th day I update all the stats. You send me what you want to do either via e-mail or on the Message Board. You write Roleplays and messages on the Message Board, making allies with other players and finding enemies. Every so often I will run a saga , such as Frieza's Attack or The Cell Games.
Things you can do in a week:
Train: Gains you 5 HP a day.
Spar: Requires another character to be in the same place as you. Gains both players 6 HP a day.
Learn a New Move: You can start learning a new move. Check the Moves page for more information.
Fly to a New Location: You can fly to a new place on your planet or, if you have a Spacepod, fly to a new Planet. Flying takes a day.
Search for a Dragonball: There are SEVEN Dragonballs and they are scattered across the different planets and the different areas. If you search for a Dragonball on a place where there is one then you will find it. Searching takes 2 days.
NOTE If you have a Dragon Radar then Searching only takes one day per location. If two people search for the same Dragonball on the same day then they will find it at the same time and have to either choose who gets it or fight over it.
So, a sample week could be the following:
Day 1: Train. Day 2: Train. Day 3: Start learning Power Punch. Day 4: Still learning Power Punch. Day 5: Search for a Dragonball. Day 6: Still Searching for a Dragonball.
Fighting.
When you ask to fight someone you have two choices: You can fight over MSN in chat battles with me watching to make sure who wins (or by sending me the chat script) or you can have me run the fights. This option is easier, all I do is use a dice to choose what move your character performs. You may only have THREE fights per week, as it takes a day to heal your character back up. The only exception is in a Tournament-setting. You fight until someone reaches 0 HP. You can fight to the death ONLY if both players agree to it, because once you are dead you have to be wished back. If you have a Senzu Bean you can use it when you are knocked out to bring you back, and you can keep on fighting. Otherwise, you've lost! If you lose a fight, you'll have to hang your head in shame. If you win a fight then you gain 5% of the person you defeated's Hit Points. So the stronger the person your defeat, the more HP you will gain.
Fights are turn-based, and will be put on the website's Fight Results page. Fights will go something like this:
Goku has 120 HP and Vegeta has 100 HP.
Goku uses Ki Blast on Vegeta, who uses his Physical Attack on Goku.
Goku 110, Vegeta 90.
Vegeta hits Goku with another Physical attack while Goku powers up to Ki level 2.
Goku 100, Vegeta 90.
Goku fires an Ki Blast, doing 20 damage. His Ki lowers to 1. Vegeta uses Ki Shield and takes 15 damage.
Goku 100, Vegeta 75.
You take turns doing the first move in a round. If Goku had the first move in a round, Vegeta would go first in the next round, to make it fair. Otherwise it would be one person constantly shooting fireballs at the other while they try and defend, not being able to get an attack in.
Ki is used to increase the damage done by Energy Attacks. If you powered up to 2 Ki your next Energy Attack would take off twice as much. Then your Ki would drop down to 1 again. Some moves increase your Ki to 2 for ther rest of the fight. Ki doesn't affect damage done by Physical Attacks.
The Dragonballs
The Dragonballs are seven mystical spheres that, if brought together to one location, can summon up a mighty Dragon to grant the caster one wish. If you find all seven of the Dragonballs then you can call down the Dragon and use it to grant a wish. I have to be stricter on the wishes as otherwise the game wouldn't be fair. Below are some wishes that will be granted:
A new Move from the level you are on.
A 30% permanent increase in your HP.
A permanent increase in your Ki by 1 point.
Everyone (or one specific person) back from the Dead.
Any one item from the Item list.
Items
You can find and purchase items in your quests. You have Zeni, which is the unit of currency in the Dragonball world, and you earn it by beating characters, doing quests and more. You can challenge a player to a fight and have your items or money as a prize.
Senzu Beans: If you have one of these and you lose a fight, you can take it while on 0 HP to give you back 25% of your Hit Points so you can keep fighting.
Spacepod: With a Spacepod you can fly from planet to planet. Only fits one person.
Weighted Clothes: If you own a set of these any training or sparring you do gains you an extra 2 Hit Points a day.
Dragon Radar: Enables you to search for the Dragonballs faster.
Power Scouter: Shows you the Power Levels and moves of an enemy. Very useful if you don't know how strong a bad guy is!
Body Armour: Used to block damage done to you during combat.
Gravity Chamber: Train in intense Gravity. Gains you 8 HP a day. You can also spar in it.
Spacecraft: Can fly up to three people to another planet.
FAQ
Here are a few questions that I have been asked. If you have any more then please E-Mail me them or post on the Board.
Q: Why the 6-day method?
A: I thought it would bring a change from other RPGs, where you have to be online all the time and in chat rooms at strange hours of the night. This way you only have to check the site a few times and post your week on one day, which is less-stressing and less demanding.
Q: How do I submit my week?
A: By E-Mailing me or posting it on the board. When posting on the board ensure that you include your Character name so I know who to update.
Q: Why does the site layout seem so simple?
A: 'cause HTML is so much easier to update, I can't do flash things with it but we all know that sometimes the Pagebuilder may be down so this helps that out.
