Unfortunately, the last act of the Evil was to scatter all of the Suit of Elements and to trap Lavin and his wife in their house, alive and in children's form forever, or until the legend of the Hero of Time would arrive (a legend neither Lavin nor the Evil believed in - meaning a eternal life of childish seclusion).
But the Hero did finally arrive, although yet a child, many centuries later. Hyrule was in the midst of great peril, as the TriForce had been split between three figures, one being the princess of the land, one being the Hero himself, and one being a destructive force. Both Lavin and the Hero then grew up together, Lavin forced to relearn all his old powers, to defeat this new force against good.
Not many years had passed since peace was restored when a capsule from a planet Earth arrived and set up a shop where people would come and go between the two planets, and as new things began to unfold on this unfamiliar planet, Lavin would find himself forever connected.
