| #17 and #18 are tearing up future Earth and finally the Z fighters that we all know all love are all dead. Only a one-armed Gohan and a teenage Trunks are left (Ox King and Chi-Chi are still living out in the countryside but with Goku's death, Chi-Chi has been slowly wasting away.) Gohan trains Trunks to become a fighter, but the boy can't get angry enough to go SSJ. Gohan faces the Androids alone and gets killed. This pushes Trunks over the edge, but even as SSJ, Trunks gets trashed by the androids. Finally, Bulma completes work on the time machine that Trunks uses to visit the past to give Goku his heart medicine and to warn the Z fighters of the impending peril (also suceeding in creating the alternate timeline that allows Cell to travel to the past and start the Cell Game). |
