| Game Review: Shenmue |
Once I turned it on, it was as though I was hypnotized by the awsome graphics . . . I bet each one of you reading this review must have heard of Shenmue by now. It is (in my oppinion) the best graphical game for the Dreamcast console. I got this game when it first came out. Once I turned it on, it was as though I was hypnotized by the awsome graphics. Loaded with three game discs, Shenmue has a long lasting effect. You can play this game all month and not get board. The background music puts you into the feel of the game. The voices of the characters couldn't fit any better. Almost every place in the game has its different music. With the passport disc, you can listen to full versions of all the songs you heard in the game. Isn't that cool! The gameplay is very new and impressive. Most of the fighting is in F.R.E.E. (Full Reactive Eyes Entertainment), wich Yu Suzuki made himself. F.R.E.E. mostly uses your hand-eye cordination. Free battle is were you duke it all out in a 3D terrain (that means you can move sideways). The presentation of the game is very solid. The FMV are incredibly realastic looking and sounding (just the thing to expect from a SUPERIOR Dreamcast game). It tells the story right to your face, no missing details. Presentation - 9.2 Graphics - 9.9 Sound - 10.0 Gameplay - 9.5 Lasting Appeal - 9.9 OVERALL - 9.8 |
