Dave's first induction into the R6 cup, was a difficult one. First Sunday Practise saw Dave change some setting from the stock R6 settings, which weren't working too well. The changes made things more dificult, and Dave went backwards instead of forwards, - Dave decided to try to ride around the problems, and in the race, he made up 10 places from 25th to 15th, then, slipped backwards as the problems with the bikes handling became to much to ride around. - Dave finally came home 23rd.
Whilst this sounds terrible, one has to remember that this was Dave's first ever R6 cup race, and he finished higher than some others, and he finished the race, unlike some.
