SIOUX FALLS, SD
APRIL 12-15, 2006
Greetings from Sioux Falls!  This week I was working in South Dakota.  At the beginning of this trip my first concern was the weather.  After last week in sunny San Antonio, I didnt want any cold weather and luckily didnt have any.  In fact, the temperatures were about the same in both cities.  However, that may have hurt the week more than it helped.
South Dakota is a fairly nice place to visit. Theres not much to do, but its very pleasant during the spring.  Fortunately, my girlfriend Amanda accompanied me, which is always a good time.  The downtown area has shopping, coffee/cigar shops, and a few restaurants.  The sidewalks are lined with different kinds of artwork, including statues, abstracts, and paintings.  It was a good way to spend an afternoon.  However, the most exciting part of each day was definitely going to the club.
It was my second time here at Nitwits Comedy Club.  Located in the basement of an old downtown office building, it's always a fun place to work.  Directly upstairs, theres a restaurant/bar called Mad Rock Pub.  I got my food for half price so most of my meals were eaten there.  Everything we had was good, especially the fried cheese curds.  The crowds were smaller than the last time, but no less receptive.  Unfortunately though, nice weather and the Easter holiday are comedy killers.  Most people dont have time to go to the club but the ones who did had a good time.
On the whole, Sioux Falls was a fun week.  We had good food, great shows, and Amanda was with me.  However, nothing out of the ordinary happened.  It was just your average comedian week with lots of spare time.  One thing worth noting though is that Amanda saw a beaver for the very first time.  However thats a different story for a different day.

Until next week,
Danny
