| SAN ANTONIO, TX APRIL 5-9 |
| Greetings from San Antonio! Since becoming a stand up comic I have had thousands of people ask to hear �road stories.� They want to know about the places I�ve been, the people I�ve encountered, and of course, any �crazy nights� after the show. Then there�s my Mother & Grandmother who seem most concerned with what I�ve been eating and if I�m getting plenty of it. As a result, I am going to start recording my adventures and posting them in a blog along with pictures that I take with my cell phone. And there is no better time to start than this week while I�m working in the Lonestar State. |
| San Antonio, Texas is the kind of town for anybody who likes nice weather and a good time. There�s a little something here for everyone. The streets are lined with a wide variety of restaurants, dance clubs, and coffee shops and the sweet aroma of food surrounds you. The town is full of history as well, with places like the Alamo and the Riverwalk (also know as Paseo del Rio), which is a network of walkways around the San Antonio River. |
| As far as �work� goes, it was a fun but uneventful week. After getting stuck in a Nebraska snowstorm and an Arkansas ice storm earlier this year, I was ready to just relax and enjoy the sunny 80-degree weather. My days were filled with walking along the river and having the �occasional� afternoon cocktail, while at night I made my debut at the River Center Comedy Club. It�s a beautiful room that seats approximately 400 people and is located on the third floor of the River Center Mall in downtown. The audiences were always receptive and in the mood to laugh. |
| All in all, San Antonio is wonderful city. Whether your cheering on the Spurs, visiting the historic sites, or just having drinks down on the river, it�s almost impossible not to have a good time. Just one little piece of advice, take it from me and don�t forget to put on your sun-block! Until next week, Danny |
