THE GREYHOUND REPORT
APRIL 20, 2006
I periodically have to ride the Greyhound Bus to get from point to point.  As a special to the Cell Phone Chronicles I introduce The Greyhound Report.
5:45am   Ask any person who travels by bus as often as I do and theyll agree that its always interesting.  Todays trip is from Omaha to Davenport and will take about 6-hours. 2 hours longer than it would by car, but with current gas prices at $2.89/gallon, it costs about the same.  The bus isnt too crowded, which is always good.  In front of me are some people already sleeping & behind me are some Chinese newlyweds.  I think they are anyways, why else would they be making out this early in the morning?   Some guy sitting in the back wreaks of alcohol.  I thought about sitting in front of him but the tattoos on his neck scared the hell out of me.  Time to sleep.
11:00am   About an hour left and its been pretty uneventful.  Its been hard to sleep though.  The Chinese newlyweds laughed and giggled the entire time.   Except of course when they were sleeping or tongue-wrestling.  Some guy whos sitting in front of me now has been snoring a little and smells really bad.  I hope standing outside during our 20-minute break at the truck stop will freshen his ass up a little bit.  I just tried talking the driver into dropping me off at my hotel but he wouldnt.  Looks like I have to get a cab.  Today could have been a lot worse though.  My next bus trip will be about 26 hours roundtrip.  My back hurts just thinking about it.
