BUFFALO, NY
MAY 18-20
Greetings from Buffalo!  This week Im working in the Empire State.  Once again, Ive been sick all week but am pretty excited to work in a club Ive never been to before.  When I left home, the temperature was 75 degrees but its only 55 here and I brought nothing but short-sleeved shirts.  Ive got to start watching the weather channel more.
This town is known most known for the creation of Buffalo Wings.  More than one story exists on how chicken wings became so popular here but the most widely accepted is that Teressa and Frank Bellisimo, who owned the Anchor Bar, created them in 1964.  Teressa wanted to fix a quick snack for her son & his friends and cooked up a plate full of wings with some hot sauce.  All my mom ever fixed me was fried bologna.
Its not my first time coming to Buffalo, but is the first that Ive worked at the Comix Caf.  The club is actually located in Tonawanda, a suburb on the northeast side of the city.  It is one of several businesses in a small strip mall.  I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of people that came out & how friendly everyone was.  It definitely a fun week!!
It was a great week here in Buffalo.  The shows rocked and I sold lots of merchandise, which is always good.  I didnt feel all that well but with May comes allergy hell.  As bad as it is though, I would much rather be here now than when they have three feet of snow.  Right now Ive got to go.   Im leaving to drive all night back to Indiana.  I love show business!

Until next week
