INDIANA CITIES
(MUNCIE & BLOOMINGTON)
JUNE 29 -JULY 1
Greetings from the Hoosier State!  This week Im happy to perform in Muncie and Bloomington.  Working in my home state has a lot of advantages.  I dont have to drive that far which saves a ton of money in gas. (Current gas prices are over 3-dollars a gallon.)  Also, I have that whole home-town boy image going on which always helps with laughs.  Finally, I get to sleep in my own bed every night.  Thats definitely a luxury.
Saturday took place in another famous college town, Bloomington, which is the home to Indiana University.  Like Muncie, I have a lot of very good memories of late nights in B-town.  The shows took place at a small restaurant called Bears Place.  Bears was named by USA Today as a top place to see comedy and is filled with pictures of comedians, some now famous, who have performed here.  Since school is out for the summer the audiences were light, but they were definitely in the mood to laugh!
Muncie, Indiana is about 45 minutes northeast of Indianapolis & is the home of Ball State University where comedy legend David Letterman attended school.  I have many memories of this town from my college days as well, when my friends and I would make the drive up here to study.  The show took place at Bygones Bar & Grill and went great.  Afterwards, in a nostalgic mood, I stopped for a burrito as big as your head at my favorite little Mexican place, La Bambas.
This week has been great.  Overall, the shows went well and I didnt have to stay in any hotels.  Working at Bears was exciting too.  Roseanne Barr, Sinbad, and Brian Regan are just a few of the comedians that have graced this stage.  As a hard working road comic, its great to see that now famous comics once worked the same rooms that I currently do.  I just hope that 20 years from now, my headshots dont look as goofy as theirs!
Until next week
Danny :-)
