| COLORADO SPRINGS, CO JUNE 21-25 |
| Greetings from Colorado Springs! This week I�m in the beautiful state of Colorado. I�ve been out here several times before and have always had a good time. The Denver area is pretty cool too, but the best thing about this state is the glorious �scenic view.� This is one of the few states I�ve visited that I highly recommend. |
| The week itself has been enjoyable. The club, Loonee�s Comedy Corner, is one of my favorites. The owners are nice people and the audiences are always responsive. Colorado Springs is a military town. The Air Force Academy is here as well as Peterson Air Force Base. The bad news is most of the soldiers are in Iraq so audience turnout wasn't the best. The good news is that the people who did show up were in the mood to laugh! |
| It�s my third time here in �the Springs,� but the first without snow flying everywhere. Some locals live for the cold weather and icy mountains but not me. The one and only time I went skiing, I got hurt just getting on the ski lift. I did have a nice pool to hang out in this week, where I learned the hard way that the Colorado sun gets HOT. |
| Comedians love weeks like this one. It�s been nothing but low stress and great shows. The first time I was here I recorded a DVD of my set. This time, one year later, I actually �worked� on trying to tighten up my set for an updated recording. It�ll be good to see the improvement. Hopefully Mom will see it too and start sending me money again. Until next week, Danny :-) |
