Hattiesburg, MS - Once again, a stellar field of 31 Mississippi Modifieds were on hand to tackle the tough 1/4 mile Southern Speedway. With the field divided into four heat races to determine the starting order for the night's main event. The 33D JetMod started on the third row of one of the heat races. Needing a top 6 finish to ensure a spot in the main, Daniel quickly jumped into the fourth position. The handling turned out to be slightly off the mark due to some experimentation with new parts. This relegated him to hang on and just make sure of a good finish. A fourth place finish gave us a 7th row starting lineup for the feature. The team made wholesale changes to the rear suspension between races to make up for the error in the heat race and also to account for changes in the condition of the track. The changes proved to be successful, as Daniel was one of few cars able to pass and move up in position in the feature. Starting so far back in the main event prevented a better finish, but he was able to charge up to 7th place for a good finish in the 24 car field.
