Jackson, MS - Returning to the track that sidelined the 33D team for a month, Daniel had high hopes of a solid run in the 30 car field that showed up Saturday night. With yet another bad draw and rear starting position in the heat race, he would have to race hard just to qualify for the 24 car feature event. At the start of the heat race, it was clear the 33D JetMod was on a mission. Daniel advanced to the fourth position by the first turn, and was in third by the end of the first lap. Knowing that he was in good position to make the main, he settled down and finished third, shaking down the car and getting a good feel for the track in order to prepare for the feature event. With a MSCCS late model event also running this night, the team set the car up for a slick track for the feature event. With an 11th place starting position, we were hopeful of a top 5 finish or better. This was not to be however, as a spinout in front of Daniel on the first lap of the race collected him and broke frontend and steering components, once again relegating him to the trailer for the remainder of the event.
