Hattiesburg, MS - Daniel and the 33D team made their first run since experiencing mechanical breakage on May 8th in Jackson, MS. Their was a light field of 12 cars Friday night due to a Friday night special event at Queen City Speedway in Meridian. Daniel's bad luck of drawing numbers continued as he was relegated to a last place starting position in the heat race. This did not last long as he quickly passed a couple cars and finished 4th. This gave him an eight place starting position in the feature event. With the track becoming dry slick for the main, there was a very narrow racing groove and passing was scarce. Despite this, Daniel moved to 6th and engaged in a fierce battle for 5th with the 01 car of Chris Hall. The 33D finished in sixth place, a good finish after a one month layoff and with some new experimental parts being tried. |
