Hattiesburg, MS - A large field of 24 Mississippi Modifieds were in attendance Friday night at Southern Speedway. With such a large number of cars, track officials decided to split the feature into two races, an A main and a B main. There were three heat races of 8 cars each. The top six in each heat automatically transferred to the A main. After early contact with another car in his heat, Daniel was left fighting a damaged front end for the remainder of the heat hoping to hold on to a top six. He finished sixth and made the A main but was slated to start on the last row. Repairs were made to the front end and the team was optimistic of a good finish. This was not the case, though, as a pile up in front of Daniel on lap two collected him and broke the steering box and left front suspension and he was unable to continue.
