Cake Decorating Frosting

I generally make the half batch due to the overwhelming amount of frosting it makes.  But the whole batch works for when lots of frosting is needed.  Very, very good!

Half Batch:

2 cups powdered sugar
3/8 cup vegetable shortening
2 1/2 Tbsp. Milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract or almond flavoring

Sift sugar in large bowl.  Blend the rest of ingredients and beat with electric beaters several minutes or until light and fluffy.  Refrigerate.




Full Batch:

4 cups powdered sugar
3/4 cup vegetable shortening
5 Tbsp Milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract or almond flavoring

Mix as directed above in half batch recipe.
