"The Magic is the Power. Never reveal your secrets!"
I have just recently come across a most wonderful game for the darklngs to enjoy & employ. It is called "Guardian of The Grave", which features a robed creature with fangs whose eyes flash red, & he has quite a personality!
The object of this game is to follow the Guardian's directions as you move him from one grave to another {there are 9 graves} in an attempt to thwart his mystical powers of precognition. Can you guess upon which grave he will land & find his coffin?
This mathematical technique utilizes the process of elimination. For a great example of this, refer to "The World's Greatest Magic Tricks III", in which Max Maven, prestidigitator extraordinnaire, challenges the viewer to place one's finger anywhere upon a series of squares with images - each & every time, following the directions closely, moving anywhere upon them to a certain number of spaces, one's finger will be end up on the image "predicted" by the magician, as if reading your mind. Well, this is the same basic principle behind "Guardian of The Grave".
The Guardian "magically" knows where his coffin is. He speaks,
"I'm not on #, take it away! Move # spaces."
When he finally finds the hidden coffin within the grave, he speaks,
"You're on #.....I'm alive!" followed by a dramatic rush of wind.
There are three different ways to program The Guardian - three different sequences that will amaze & astound the player. This game comes with nine cut-out graves, & "secret instructions". Great fun for darklings & parents alike!
