The "end times" are here, but for whom does the bell toll? As it tolled for the nazarene long ago, so now do Hell's bells resound for xianity's end.
The followers of the corpse-god gather 'round the foot of the cross, counting their last days with inner dread, while outwardly preserving a facade of "peace." They conjure their fates as prescribed by the profiteers of olde.
"Y2K", or the year 2000 c.e., holds much fear for the populace. At about the last decade of each millenium, occultniks & xian nuts alike, come out of the woodwork with all their dire warnings, inflicting paranoia, & generating those precious funds for the church.
How they wait like faithful dogs for their master to come. So what will they do when nothing happens? They will either leave in disgust & dissatisfaction, or attempt to further justify the lies with cop-out excuses like "...well, you know, God works in mysterious ways..." {translation: "I would die without my faith, it makes me feel validated. I cannot allow myself to think that maybe god doesn't exist. That would leave me without a daddy to tell me what to do. So rather than deny 'his' existence, I cannot even begin to perceive why 'he' would back down on 'his' promise. It must be for my own good. 'He' knows what 'he's' doing."}; or {for the so-called xian "scientists" - more on that later} "...well, maybe we figured the day wrong...", thereby allowing for an extended "grace period" for the no-show. Maybe next millenium. Until then, keep on coming to church, confess your stimulating secret thoughts & desires, & pay your tithes like a good Christian. The rape of mind, body, emotion, & will. But the masochists need it. Beg for it.
"Here, I'll exchange my brain for a ticket to Heaven." After all, who needs a brain when "God" does all the thinking for you? {Translation: The white wolves prey upon their flocks}.
"Que Bono?" The exploitation of stuporstition is not a new thing. It is the old technique of making gullible people dependent on you, thereby making them slaves, much like the drug-dealer. Creating slaves who will give up everything, so long as they are handed out mandates once in awhile, in this case. Just give them a little drama, a mythological soap-opera, & they will be faithful adherents.
Consider the example of the talking crystal skull of Mayan lore. It was supposed to have possessed supernatural properties, & was considered "the voice of the gods". It was kept in a sacred cubby-hole in a cave, where villagers could go & ask it all manner of desires, as it supposedly bestowed "good luck". But little did they know, that behind the crystal skull was a small hole which led to the other side of the cave wall, where a Mayan priest would utter the latest "will of the gods", a-la The Wizard of Oz. Indeed, those people actually gave up their children for sacrifice, with their beliefs in external deities.
By the way, the Mayan Calendar gives Doomsday the date of 2012.
So why all the furor over the year 2000 c.e.?
It is a dramatic number, marking the end of the 1900's. It is a romantic notion that feeds the mythology. Christianity's last straw.
So what happens when the clock strikes midnight on December 31st 1999 c.e.? Nothing. Save fot that many more people will abandon their churches as their "God" abandoned them. Many more are those who seek "proof" that "God" exists, becoming increasingly disenchanted with irrational blind-faith & the inherent hypocrisy of blindlight dogmas. Many feel their time is being wasted, & their lives are slipping away, & with good reason.
Science & Satanism
So what has the church done to counteract such "backsliding?" Some new factions have been formed in recent years. We all read about "Christian Atheists" in The Satanic Bible, getting a chuckle out of that one. How about this one --- "Christian Scientists." That is an oxymoron for sure. And oxymorons they be.
Science came about with the Promethean desire to learn the knowledge of truth in Nature. To understand the elements, to manipulate resources for mankind's comfort. It is the continuing investigation & experimentation of the world around us, & the worlds afar. Inner space & outer space.
Science, like Satanism, seeks "forbidden" knowledge, that which is unknown, yet compels. In the process of research, many popular & accepted notions are disproven &/or redefined. Therefore, Science & Satanism are synonymous in this respect, as both promote progress & change, ergo, Evolution. So-called "Christian Scientists" attempt to prove a mythology as real, taking up any & all scraps they can, & arranging their "hypotheses'" in as convincing a manner as possible, to give credence to their delusions. Lies on top of lies.
Science, on the other hand, is at its very essence Satanic, & therefore, not compatible with Christianity, or other blindlight creeds. Which is why Science has always been at odds with spiritually-based religions. Science & Satanism is the moderation of intellectual considerations that eventually reveals the truth.
My advice to Christians whose "saviour" does not appear by 2000 c.e., as I told one obnoxious xoid one crisp Autumn morning at a library, is kill yourself. Make sure you do not get left behind with us Satanists, who, one way or the other, have already long-since inherited the world.
The paranoid proles may make it inconvenient at the end of the year, as they scurry about seeking to pack-rat any & all supplies from the supermarket they can, so it would be wise to stock up for yourselves, if only to avoid any discomfort. Purchasing a portable generator to power your lair if any temporary shortages occur because of computer glitches would be in order, as well as plenty of batteries for flashlights & radios.
A brief word to those wondering about a "Satanic Millenium" per se:
Year One - 1966 c.e., marked the genesis of The Age of Fire, & the formation of The Church of Satan. Year XXXV will be "Y2K", & CoS will continue to prosper & progress unstinted by the prevalent stupostitions of the herds & flocks, save for their manipulation. In the end, there indeed WILL BE a doomsday, but NOT in the manner mythologically expected. If anything, "Doomsday" is a metaphor marking the death of Christianity, & certainly the death of the nazarene ideal.

Why 2K? II
Going Forward In Reverse: An Appreciative Remembrance & Application of Past {Un}Orthodoxies
Draconis BlackthorneI was speaking with some acquaintances the other day, when the conversation veered towards entertainment. Was there indeed an "apocalypse" on Y2K? It seems that yes, upon retrospect, there actually was a so-called 'apocalypse' after all. It came insiduously in the form of a de-evolution in the entertainment industry, where now, more than ever, with very few precious exceptions, mediocrity is heralded as the accepted 'norm', and society as a whole has suffered from it.
Upon observation, methods of expedient communication have improved via the interweb, proving beneficial for some personal and networking purposes, as well as diminishing unwanted herd interaction.
The 90's {not counting most "grunge" scrap metal; which was essentially the return of the 'hippies'}, 80's, 70's, portions of the 60's {not counting 'hippie' dregs}, and much prior from visual to audial amusements, were of an exceptional value in some way, defining these generations to some extent. This is further evidenced in the plethora of music and films which have been creating endless 'sequels' and 'covers' {both acceptable and inferior} from that prior to Y2K. In many cases, it seems the creative well has run dry, and/or standards have declined, with egalitarianism to blame. Even performers from many desirable past orthodoxies have been returning, with some truly enterprising sponsors bringing them about. The ultimate benefit of this is to bring attention to the original presentations, facilitating their acquisition.
Aesthetically, particularly from the Noir through to the 50's, even the herd were more presentable, with attention payed to accoutrement and haberdashery - it displayed pride in one's appearance. How unfortunate it must be for current herd generations to be so devoid of such character and quality. It is now necessary to go 'forward in reverse', as it were.*
Fortunately, as Satanists, we instinctually preserve what is truly of {personal} value in our own timeless worlds, from whatever eras of choice of whatever genre, utilizing whatever methods and instruments of presentation, from technologies of whatever means.
In My world, I prefer most everything to appear artfully "antique" {whether actual or replicated; see the Emerson Entertainment system}, while imbued with modern technology, with the obvious exception of genuine collectables. Besides the CD and DVD player, the vinyl record, the cassette, and VCR players are in use, sometimes digitizing them as needed, and if possible, even eight-tracks in some cases, ideally some "vintage" recordings played on an actual victrola and/or grammophone - the so-called "haunted house" aesthetic, which is in itself timeless {think Dark Shadows & The Addams Family with a personal touch}. Again, if not actual, certainly in de-facto.
Fortunately, favored presentations are more widely available for possession to be viewed at our leisure, devoid of the Letharginator, commercialism and propaganda. It is certainly possible to time travel and exist in this manner devoid of contemptorary influence. To submerge oneself completely in the "past", which is one's present. Dress the part and speak the lingo, or "Walk the walk and talk the talk".
All time is now, so references to "the past" are excluded, thus preserving the entertainment fresh, which are both evocative and invigorating. Even if one has lived through these eras, there is much which has been created therefrom which has not yet been experienced containing that certain particular 'current', so it behooves the selective timeless connoisseur to choose superior evocations and pursue these with gusto.
