I assert that when enough mental force is placed towards the conjuration, or manifestation of an archetype, it is possible to start a momentum that can effect the lives of those who subscribe to them. Such as xoids realizing their own fates.

I have formulated My own particular archetypes & characteristics to symbolic deities, who, I see more as Comrades, brothers, sisters, & friends, rather than "lords", & whatnot. If one creates something in the ethers, one is responsible for it, & must resonate with it. I have seen "Satan" as MY HAND in the ethers, the manifestation of MY WILL. An extension of Myself, really. Thus molding those Dark earthly forces into a dynamically usable, & perhaps more relatable, force. No worship going on here, nope. Only RESONANCE. If anything, or anyone, is worshiped, it is Myself.

Remember, as Satanists, there are no metaphysical gods {or goddesses} above us. We choose our own PHYSICAL masters & slaves, depending upon your disposition. I have, however, USED terms such as "Satan knows", "By Satan!", "Great shades of Satan!". & "By Lucifer's beard!" as humorous expressions. My creations of what I call "mythaphor", such as that read in Epinox, is just that, myth+metaphor blended in a highly imaginative amalgam. As you know, Epinox explains Evolution in a psychodramatic context. I Am not implying a literal scenario, as xians do with their blind faith.

These are very fine & subtle points in Magic that should be addressed, lest there be any misunderstanding.

We do the Atheist one better, as we are not afraid of using myriad archetypes to artfully & symbolically represent ideals.

Needless to say, in the Ritual Chamber, Satan may very well be considered anthropomorphically. Personally, I seem to remain in a mystical mindset quite often, as extraordinary natural phenominon occurs routinely in My life.

What is Satan?

There are so many variations as there are individuals, and an entire explanation would perhaps require an extensive essay on the subject, but I will attempt a brief explanation for you here:

To The Satanist, Satan is The All-One. There is only Satan. Satan is The Dark Force which permeates the cosmos. We as Satanists are the individual incarnations of The Forces of Darkness. De-facto manifestations throughout history through the arts are the many faces of Satan, and each can be empowering to experience as a dimension of The Dark Force, empowering one's own Black Flame. Every culture has a variation of this mysterious force with many different infernal names which can provide a beneficial contemplation.

Satan is The Dark Force in Nature, and represents all that which is mysterious, unexplained, yet what the Satanist is attracted towards.

Satan is that described in The 9 Satanic Statements.

In The Ritual Chamber, Satan may be considered as literal, being that it is the 'Intellectual Decompression Chamber', the psychodrama, and that which stimulates the emotions to power-drive the will unto manifestation is of tantamount importance in the practice of Satanic Magic.

Satan is incarnate in The Self, as the living Devil and God within oneself. The personification of the ideals set forth in The Satanic Bible and inherently resonant with oneself.

Satan can be detected in various works of art, music, literature, architecture, natural environments, inventiveness, iconoclasm - that which heightens the senses and stimulates the mind and emotions to soar.

In brief, all the true 'manifestations' of the Satan archetype throughout history, each has its value to one degree or the other. This archetype can be well indicative of the personality of the individual either repelled or attracted to it. Either traits of strength, life, independence, intelligence, individuality, quality, power in all states of being, self-mastery, or otherwise one of subservience, weakness, servitude, and death, as with the nazarene archetype.

To the non-Satanist, The Devil represents that which is feared, the villain, scapegoat, and the author of all 'evil'. The Satanist manipulates these fears for personal gratification and amusement.

The Satanic Presence can be visually present by viewing such dominant masses like airplanes, mammoth trucks, trains, mountains, canyons. deep valleys, caves, lightning, thunder, torrents, rivers, waterfalls, durigables, submarines, whales, sharks... whatever may inspire a sense of awe and wonder:

SATAN {Fire}

"Fire in the sky": Satan in conjunction with Lucifer, which in turn may split a tree asunder, or strike building or people, and/or in turn igniting a forest fire to clear away brush purifying the environment for fresh growth. Thunder also invokes a sense of awe and invigoration, while in the common 'normals', fear.

The Storm itself is a manifestation of Satanic Forces - wind, rain, fog, tornados, hurricanes, tsunamis, floods, avalanches...

A man-made manifestation may be seen with a flame thrower, a bomb, the nuclear mushroom cloud; from a raging bale fire to the burning flame on a candle. Electricity as Satan {Abraxas}, coursing through appliances and electrical instruments; Satan in conjunction to manifest Lucifer {light}, to sulphur in a match and the flame of a lighter.

LUCIFER {Air}

Such man-made wonders as 747 airplanes*, the stealth bomber, the Concord {which even resembles a bird of prey}, zeppelins, durigables, warplanes, hellicopters, jet fighters.

Animals: All animals are inherently Satanic in their part within the animal kingdom and food chain; but unlike prey which provide food for predators, besides evolutionary development, prey look the way they do to attract the predators, some are more aesthetically blatant in the appearance as hunters. Birds of prey for instance: eagles, hawks, falcons, owls, ravens, crows, and even the bat, vulture, condor, and buzzard.

BELIAL {Earth}

Locations: Places such as those attributed as 'the seven wonders of the world', The Grand Canyon, Devil;'s Tower, Stonehenge, Chitzen Itza, the Egyptian Pyramids, are some examples. Haunted Houses, particularly of Victorian and Gothic architecture, and cemeteries. Structures demonstrating the Law of The Trapezoid {see The Devil's Notebook}

Animals: Lions, tigers, bears, panthers, cheetahs, wolves, the fox, snakes, scorpions, alligators, crocodiles, even dinosaurs and insects such as spiders, the preying mantis, to house cats and dogs, which are many times one's familiars and demonic counterparts. Behemoths such as elephants, hippos, the rhinosaurus, even the legends of sasquatch and yeti, which inspire fear and wonder.

Man-Made Wonders: Trains, trucks, {particularly of the 'Mack' variety}, certain automobiles such as Dr. LaVey's coffin-nosed Chord, hearses, even the characterizations of the Bat Mobile, the Munsters' car, the Dragula, the car from the film 'The Car', KITT from Knight Rider, Novas, Mustangs, Magnums, Cadillacs, whatever models inspire The Lighthouse Effect.

LEVIATHAN {Water}

Submarines, Destroyers, titanic cruise liners.

Animals: Sharks, octupi & squid {Leviathan / Kraken / Cthulhu}, whales, the sting ray {aqua bats}, and even the legends of Lochness, Ogopogo, and Champ.
