| Below is a shot of the river that goes thru the campground, yes, the top is thick green slime! They claimed the water was drinkable at this campground, but it was vibrant yellow... yuk we passed on the water. At this point the last water we had was from Minot ND, and it wasn't the best. Really kicked ouselves for not getting water at Stump Lake ND. |
| Below, this was our first view of Lake Michigan. We had to walk thru a swampy area, there was a wood bridge to get over the swampiest part. There was a sandbar you could walk up and down on the beach. There were quite a few boats out on the lake. That night watching the news I learned that lightning can travel 4 miles when it hits the water. eek... when the thunder came thru there were still boats out on the water... |
