| 06/05/05 Minot, ND N48�12.784' W101�15.689' Elevation: 1745' We had to leave our wonderful site at the MT ND border. We ran out of water. The big news today was all the pets Suzi tried to adopt today. I was a party pooper and made her get rid of all of them. First Ginger dog had a tick on her, we lost it, but that tick is a gonner if it bites her, the pets all have recently had a dab of flea and tick drops on them. Later I found a tick crawling on the computer... same one?? Then driving down the road I looked over at Suzi, and she had one attached to her arm. We happened to be next to a rest area, and we pulled in. I found some Vicks vapor rub, and smothered the tick with that, followed by a slow steady pull on the tick with a piece of tissue. The tick popped it's head out, and I left it in a trash can. Later driving down the road, Suzi discovered yet another one. She threw the tick out the window. We will be checking each other out in a bit. We decided to go to a pay place and get water etc. The first place we went, the neighborhood didn't seem that great, and we were greeted by a drunk good ole boy, followed up by the water not working. We decided to move on. Down the block we stopped at the next RV park, which also happened to be an RV's for sale place. Lots of folks here. Decided to stay. Suzi is going to take me on a grand tour of Minot an a bit here for supplies... I ran out of cookies... |
