Vegeta is the Saiyan prince. He entered the Dragonball series after the death of Goku. He arrived with his partner, at the time, Nappa. He only watched as the Dragonball Z team was beaten up by Nappa. Only then did they find out the true power of Vegeta. Vegeta waited for Goku to come back.Goku then beat the crap out of Nappa.Vegeta then turned on Nappa and killed him for losing to Goku.Vegeta then offered a chance for Goku to join him but being the good guy he was, he declined and was forced to fight the Prince of Planet Vegeta.(The original Saiya-jin planet was conquered by King Vegeta, the Vegeta we are talking about's father. He then renamed it Planet Vegeta. It was destroyed by Frieza. Vegeta was kidnapped by Frieza while still an infant.) Vegeta was beating Goku until Goku used the Kaioken attack x3. When Vegeta used his devastating Final Flash or Gallet Gun, only then did Goku revert to the Kaioken x4 and used the Kamehameha. The force from the beam blow Vegeta just outside of the Earth. When Vegeta returned from the great beyond, he revealed an invention created by Goku's father, an artifical full moon. Using the moon and his tail, he then changed into his Oozura form (A giant ape like creature.) Vegeta had his way Goku and he was so weak he couldn't continue fighting. Just as Vegeta was about to finish off Goku, Yajarobe came from behind and using his sword, cut Vegeta's tail off turning him back to normal. Goku, still too weak to fight, coached Gohan to fight but Vegeta was still slowing overwelming him. During the fight, a weaken Kurilin (Beaten up by Nappa) goes over to Goku's battered body. Goku tells him that he's gather power to use the Spirit Bomb but Goku is to weak to fire it at Vegeta. Goku gives it to Kurilin an he fires it while Vegeta and Gohan are fighting. Vegeta senses the Spirit Bomb coming right for him and jumps out of it's way. It's now heading for Gohan. Right before it hits him, Gohan somehow bounces it into the air at Vegeta. Vegeta is blown up and hurt. He returns to his Saiyan space ship and flees into outer space, headed toward Planet Frieza to recover. Vegeta vowes to return. He does in the Frieza series. While healing on Planet Frieza, he learns that Frieza is after the original Dragon Balls on Planet Namek which are more powerful then the ones on Earth so he can wish for immortality. Vegeta know how strong Frieza is and also knows that if Frieza is immortal, he will be unstoppable. Vegeta heads toward Planet Namek after Frieza. Meanwhile back on Earth, Gohan and Kurilin heal quickly also learn about the Dragon Balls on Namek. Hoping to wish back their fallen friends Gohan, Kurilin and Bulma, head to Namek. Goku is still to weak to join them. They arrive moments before Vegeta. When the find out that Vegeta is also on Namek, Kurilin, Gohan and Bulma freak. Although Vegeta doesn't know that they are there, he does shortly find out that Frieza and his men are, and that have already recovered a couple Dragon Balls. Vegeta first encounter's with one of Frieza men is Kooie, who was sent by Frieza to rid of him, but Vegeta is the one who gets rid of Kooie instead. Frieza then sents his two right hand men, Zarbon and Dodoria to see that is taken care of. But they only find that Vegeta has gotten much, much stronger. In fact, his power level is higher then Dodoria's and Zarbon's. But Dodoria and Zarbon can't believe that Vegeta is as strong as or stronger them. Vegeta runs into Dodoria and they do battle. Dodoria thinks that he will win with ease. Of course the results show that Vegeta once again prevails. All though Zarbon defeated Vegeta once before by turning into a beast, he didn't know that Saiya-jins get stronger when they are defeated. So in their second battle,Zarbon thought he could defeat Vegeta again by transforming. It didn't work and the battle ended with Vegeta blowing a fireball into Zarbon's chest leaving him in a lake. Now everyone can see that Vegeta truly has gotten much, stronger.
