the game strong, outscoring the other team 10-6 in the last 3 innings.

Hi team, great win last night! The clouds parted just long enough for us to beat Fish and Ships 12-9. Everyone played great!

Wednesday June 11 vs Ice Cubes, at Strathcona (home)
Hi DBG, good game last night! We played great, but lost 20-10 to the Ice Cubes. We hit very well, John had masterful control, Melissa was a warrior, and the outfielders and rovers made some huge grabs to stop them from rallying.
That being said, I think we've gotten away from some of the basics in the last few weeks.
* Rather than trying to throw out runners at 3rd/home, it's almost always a better play to keep the trailing runners from taking an extra base.
* Try to take extra bases whenever you can. If the other team throws to 3rd/home, the trailing runners have a great opportunity to advance.
* Please run out your ground balls, pop flies and fly balls. Also, when there's 2 outs, you don't have to tag-up on a fly ball.
These little things are easy to forget, so I'll try to remind you from time to time.
