| Shaman King Super Gotenks� Rating: 9/10 What is Shaman King all about? Shaman King is basically a proper old-fashioned battle between good and evil. On the side of righteousness is a 13 year old boy named Yoh Asakura � a laidback high school geyser. Accompanying him is his side kick Morty and the ever so bossy Anna (Yep, she�s the one who Yoh promised to marry!). Yoh is being trained by Anna and co. to become the Shaman King. You must be wondering what�s a Shaman, so here it goes� A Shaman is a gifted person with the ability to communicate with souls and spirits, and be able to possess them in your body along with their power and abilities. Yoh�s personal spirit guardian is a 1000 year old Samurai named Amidamaru, who is a very cool and humourous spirit. Once every 500 hundred years a tournament is held in which many Shamans gather and battle it out to become the Shaman King � In which the King would save the world from the forces of evil. This is basically what every Shaman is training for as they want to be the victor and save mankind. Other Shamans include Lenny and his spirit guardian Bason, Horo Horo (A.K.A. Trey) and his guardian Corey, and Rio and his lizard spirit Tokageroh. My Opinion: This anime involves action, comedy, a few senses of romance all put together with mind-boggling animations and an addictive opening. This is a humourous, yet very serious anime that people cannot hate. It has the few laughs and the ever so well presented Shaman battles. The animations are superbly given as this is one of the main reasons why I gave it a 9/10 along with the fantastic story line. People may me thinking that giving a 9/10 is too high, but trust me � it isn�t. Watching a few episodes is no good, watch a whole season and you�ll soon realise why I�ve given such a high score. |
