UNITY GAMES I

In Pictures (1 of 3)

These are pictures of our Unity Games I event which took place on Sunday, Oct 8, 2000. We had 45 people in attendance for a full day of games and fun. I hope you enjoy the pics of the games and gamers...

1. Here is the start of the day. Walter and I had just set up the tables - about 10 for gaming and about 4 for games (which we would need to extend to 6 long folding tables just to store the games everyone brought! Thanks to all for providing such an abundance of games for people to play).

2. Mark Edwards, David Rapp, Emily and Jonathan play Modern Art (I'm the 5th player - see all the low value chips I have! I did manage to come in 2nd - Jonathan won handily).

3. Michael Tsuk and Joe Rushanan playing Europa. Jonathan and I were the other players. Fun game - a little bit of group think and a few different mechanisms going on. Glad to finally get the chance to play it!

4. Lewis and Dan playing some form of Settlers of Catan.

5. Scott (who was the kind gent responsible for putting together the list of places to eat in the area), Rich Meyer, Mark Edwards and Matt Stone play Big Boss (we also have a picture below that shows the board nearly filled-in with the great bits).

6. Pat O'Brien, Craig Massey and Walter Hunt play Anno 1452 (Jeff Meyer is occluded).

7. Aaron Fuegi and Emily were two of the competitors in Barbarossa.

8. Joe McSweeney and David Rapp were two more...

9. The partially complete Big Boss board. From left-to-right: Matt Stone, Scott Chalfin, Sam Tomasetti, Mark Towler.

10. Matt Stone analyzing Big Boss.
