Do's & Don'ts on the set
This is primarily geared for background artists (extras) and people new to the biz, but it is also  a helpful reminder for those more experienced who may be slightly forgetful.
Do  Be on time !!!
Do  Make yourself available when chosen and called to the set.
Do  Be alert, courteous, and attentive to directions given to you.
Do  Follow ALL directions given to you.
Do  Remember that movies provide an illusion, DON't get carried away.
Do  Remember your actions in a scene, you may need to repeat them.
Do  Ask questions if some directions are not clear to you.
Do  Inform a PA (production assistant) if you have a problem.
Do  Let the production company know if you'll be able to return.
Do  Expect plenty of long hours and slack time.
Do  Wear comfortable shoes.
Do  Wear appropriate clothing for the season.
Do  Drink plenty of fluids on the set.
Do  Bring sunblock for those sunny days.
Do  Bring a pocket notebook and pen.
Do  Bring a book, personal medications and snacks if you desire.
Do  Remember that Less is More.
Do  Bring a positive attitude.
Do  Have fun !!!

Do Not  Look at the camera !!!
Do Not  Bring drugs, alcohol or weapons to the set.
Do Not  Bring an "attitude" with you.
Do Not  Bring personal electronics.
Do Not  Bring family or friends to watch you "act".
Do Not  Bring pets, human or otherwise.
Do Not  Gamble on the set.
Do Not  Engage in horseplay on the set.
Do Not  Steal ... Anything! ... From Anyone !!!
Do Not  Wander away from your designated area.
Do Not  Go "sightseeing".
Do Not  Fool around with the crew's equipment, to "see what it does."
Do Not  Change your actions without approval.
Do Not  Forget the directions given to you.
Do Not  Leave the set without being released or wrapped.
Do Not  Bother crew members while they are doing their work.
Do Not  Ask actors for their photos etc. during the course of filming.
Do Not  Talk during the filming of a scene.
Do Not  Offer your "professional" advice.
Do Not  Gripe or complain, you don't know who will hear you.
Do Not  Make disparaging remarks, you will get someone's attention.
Do Not  Modify your costume or makeup.
Do Not  Leave your trash behind - pick up after yourself!
Do Not  Make a pest of yourself.
1.  Prepare before an audition
2.  Create and make choices about your character
3.  Be aware how you enter the room and greet everyone present
4.  Ask questions before you read
5.  Take your time - watch your pacing
6.  Be aware how you present yourself to the camera
7.  If you are asked to do another scene, ask for time to look at sides 
     outside the room
8.  If the director has you do an ad lib line, ask how they see the character
     before delivering the line
9.  Thank everyone before leaving the room
