This stuff is fantastic. It has a nutty, sweet, tasty and warm quality about it. This is truly "Masterful Blending". No one taste dominates, they all work together to produce a magnificent round and spicy flavor! This is the "sweet and sour" of the pipe tobacco world. Burley is a big player though. This is not a Virginia lover's dream. The Perique and Turkish give this such an unusual quality that beckons you to smoke more. I realy think if you like subtle/complex mixtures you should give this one a try. ****
I think the reason this blend does not get good reviews is because of one simple fact, people Do Not Understand the true meaning of the term "Aromatic English". This is a magnificent blend with a very rich and spicy oriental eleament to it. The Latakia is present throughout the smoke and melds well with the Orientals and the casing. The casing lends a wonderful element to both the flavor and aroma. The blend burns cool and even. The casing is from natural anice, you may be allready familiar with the small brownish star shaped spice, so if you do not like licorice do not try the blend. The interplay of the slightly sweet casing and spicy Oriental/Latakia yields a most rewarding flavor. If you are familiar with Korean cuisine I believe you will understand how sweet and savory components can be meshed together to produce a unique flavor. ****
A wonderful and unusual aromatic! The flavors are absolutely luscious. The Tuscan wine comes shining through and leaves almost pleasant after taste. It has an almost nutty quality to it. The only drawback is that it can burn a little hot. My girlfriend loves when I smoke it, she loves the aroma in the room, and when I smoke it while walking on the street, women never complain, which is very rare, when it comes to pipe or cigar smoke.. ***
Allow me to sum up my feelings on this blend with the following sentence: The most luscious "Liquid Latakia Cream" available to discriminating smokers everywhere. ****

Having just enjoyed a brief sojourn to the once booming riverport town in Jefferson, Texas, and spending a good part of a Saturday night in the most remote swamps and sleus of nearby Caddo Lake I was seeking a tobacco that might recall and act as a mnemonic of this almost mistical experience. A full and rich smoke with a slight peppery note from the perique. No cigarish tones in this one. If you like a Latakia blend with Turkish and Perique, this one will please. A good smoke but certainly not a bell ringer. ***
