Today was the last Wenesday Windermere Roadie ride that ORC will be doing for a while.  I arrived early today so Danae could ride with Dennis on the Tandem.  We did around a 30 minute warmup ride and as we were ready to begin the ride the wind started to pickup.  The ride started as usual but as soon as we hit the hood Dennis took off hard.   I never saw Dennis after that and the group began to break up.  I stayed with the main field all the way down 545 to Siedel when I finally popped.  I looked back and didn't see David so he must have fallen off sometime earlier.  I decided I would TT the rest of the way but I started to develop a leg cramp so I reduced my pace and even got off my bike at one point to message my calf muscle.  David eventually caught me resting and we rode back together.  It was a long and slow ride back with my leg cramp but I got in like 40 miles, Not bad for a mid week ride.  If my leg hadn't cramped I think I would have done much better.
