Why Me Papa?
Her daddy was a good old man,
He never drank and he never smoked.
But when her ma ran off with the paper boy.
Her pa took to the bottle,
and she became a 'Bad Girl' in his eyes.
How many times she had to say,
That she fell down the stairs of that one story home of hers.
Too many bruses, Too many lies that he made her tell.
But what can she do...Who knows.
After a time the only thing she faced were
the cuts and bruses on her arms and legs
But then he got worse
She was kicked and punched for two hours on that Monday night.
and got her self a nice room in the city Hospital.
all because she fell in love.
When she got out of that living nightmare, She had her boyfriend help her find him.
Then she walked up to him and said,
"You hurt me once shame on you, you hurt me twice shame on me,
but you hurt me three times you pay for it."
How many times she had to say,
That she fell down the stairs of that one story house of hers.
Too many bruses, too many lies he made her tell.
But what can she do...now she knows.
Out of the glove compartment of her 69 Toyota, she grabed that gun,
and with one swift move she amed and fired.
But sence he was her pa, she just shot his foot.
The cops put him behind bars.
And she took the vow to have and to hold.
And her life has never been the same.
